SLIP ON RAILWAY

BLOCKAGE NEAR PAHIATUA. PASSENGERS TRANSHIPPED. A goods train from Woodville to the Wkirarapa ran into a slip between Mangatainoka and Fahiatua before seVeh o’clock this morning. No seriousdamage is reported. The Woodville-Wellington railcar Was held back. Arrangements were made to tranship the mail train passengers and it is expected that the line will be clear at five o’clock. The afternoon mail .train from Woodville to Wellington, on account of the passengers having to be transhipped, left Master ton about an hour late. It was expected that the north-bound train which leaves Masterton at 3.22 p.m. will be able to get through.
