ESTABLISHMENT OF POOL. FOR REMAINDER OF WAR PERIOD. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copy r'g:> (Received This Day. 11.55 a.m.) CANBERRA. This Day. For the remainder of the war, the whole of the Australian wheat crop will be purchased from growers and marketed through a compulsory Federal wheat pool. The Commonwealth will immediately acquire all wheat at present in Australia, with the exception of that owned by farmers and stored on their farms. BUTTER AND CHEESE. ACCEPTANCE OF BRITISH PRICE. (Received This Day, 11.55 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The prices offered by the British Government for purchase of all surplus butter and cheese manufactured in Australia in the period ending June 30 next, has been accepted by the Australian Dairy Produce Board.
