ENROLMENTS FOR SPECIAL MILITARY FORCE YESTERDAY’S TOTAL 113. FINE TYPE OF MEN OFFERING. | Enrolments of recruits in Masterton yesterday for the special military force totalled 113, while a further 23 applicants by letter, etc., were receiving attention. Recruits came forward from all parts of the Wairarapa district. Further enrolments arc being made today. The response as far as the Wairarapa is concerned is considered 1o be most gratifying and a splendid type of recruit has come forward. Army offices are remaining open until further notice from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. TOTAL NOW 131. POSITION AT 2.30 O’CLOCK. Up to 2.30 o’clock this afternoon the total number of recruits enrolled in Master ton was 131. MEN ENLISTING. ADVISED NOT TO GIVE UP EMPLOYMENT MEANTIME. Speaking to a “Times-Age" representative today in regard to enlistments, Mr J. Robertson. M.P., urged, young men not to give up their employment until sure of being accepted for service, thus avoiding a state of confusion as was in evidence in the early days .of the war in 1914.
