MAORI CONCERT
OPERA HOUSE TONIGHT. Residents of Masterton are anxiously awaiting tonight’s performance in aid of the Papawai Pa. Loads of equipment have arrived and the stage is set for the performance. A big house is assured and the traditional cry of the Maori chiefs as they lead their warriors should alone provide a thrill. A prayer will open the performances, this being in keeping with all Maori meetings. Then when the curtain is raised a very spectacular setting awaits the audience with the huge campfire illuminating the features of the performers. Those who appreciate a high grade concert, exceptional in character, should not miss attending the Opera House tonight.
