CONFLICT AT SEA
CREW OF SHIP GARTAVON LANDED MEN ORDERED TO BOATS BY SUBMARINE. ALL MEMBERS UNINJURED. (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) HORTA, September 12. A Swedish tanker has landed twenty-four of'the crew of the British ship Gartavon. All are uninjured. The submarine ordered the crew to the boats and sank the Gartavon.
