THREAT TO LEMBERG

SIEGE ANTICIPATED. PREPARATIONS FOR DEFENCE. / By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.' LONDON, September 11. The Budapest correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain says that the Warsaw radio station warned Lemberg that the city must prepare for a siege similar to that of Warsaw. The Lemberg radio station then called on residents to prepare to resist. The Warsaw radio station said that the Germans were rapidly pushing toward Lemberg in an attempt to cut off Poland’s communication with Rumania and Hungary. Frequent air raid alarms were audible during Lemberg’s broadcast, indicating an unremitting bombardment. Mothers in both cities have been urged to sew their children’s names on their clothing.
