BRITISH STEAMER SHELLED & SUNK CREW SAVED BY SWEDISH VESSEL. TAKEN TO THE AZORES. By Telegraph—Pr.ess Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) HORTA (Azores), September 11. The British freighter Gartavon was shelled and sunk in the Atlantic by a submarine. Twenty-four members of the crew saved by the Swedish steamer Castor were brought here.
