GOLD MINING RETURNS.

The Worksop Extended dredge returned 18 ounces for 122 hours from 9500 yards. The New River return totalled 72 ounces for 117 hours from 8500 yards. The White’s Electric dredge returned 19 ounces for 108 hours from 7600 yds. The following information has been cabled to the London office of the Martha Gold Mining Company (Waihi) Limited:—For the period ended August 26, 15,514 tons of ore were crushed for a result of 3660 ounces of fine gold, and 3100 ounces of fine silver. The crushing time was 20 days. The Nemona dredge returned 13oz for 105 hours from 8800 yards. The Mataki Junction return for the week ended September 7 was 540 z of smelted gold for 133 hours from 19,000 yards. The Argo dredge return was 50 oz for 130 hours from 13,000 yards treated.
