ENJOYABLE CONCERT
AT ST. PATRICK’S HALL. < ■ —» A very enjoyable concert • was given in St. Patrick’s Hall last night to a large and appreciative audience. All the items were well presented and the artists in all cases had to respond to well deserved encores. The programme was as follows:—Snappy songsters in a bracket of numbers (a) “The Girl in the Alice Blue Gown” (theme song), (b) “Umbrella Mari,” (c) “One Day When we were Young;” tap dance, Yvonne Saunders; Shakespearean selection, Miss M, Dwyer, “Queen Katherine’s Defence," Henry VIII; dance, Joan Whittaker; snappy songsters, “In a Little Dutch Kindergarten;” recitation, Beryl Henderson, “The Dentist;” musical monologue, Miss Kitty Cairns; a two-act play was presented by members of the Catholic Club. Those taking part were Misses Mary Doyle, Mollie Dwyer, Pat. Brennan and Messrs J. F. McDonald, S. Herbert and E. Tapp. The accompaniments were played by Misses J. Buckley and N. Mulvey.
