German merchant ships are steadily being driven off the seas. Sixty-four ships totalling 180,000 tons have put into Spanish ports and nine, totalling 60,000 tons, are in Japanese ports.. Attacks on enemy submarines are being continued. An attack on a minelaying submarine is believed to have been successful. The Corinthic was fired on, but not damaged and has reached port. The Royal Air Force reconnoitred over a wide area, including the North Sea.
