The body of a naval rating was recovered when the submarine Thetis was opened for the first time by the removal of the engine room hatch. SINKING OF COSTIS GERMANY EXPRESSES REGRET. SHIP TOOK WRONG COURSE. (Received This Day. 9.10 a.m.) ATHENS. September 7. Germany has expressed regret for the- sinking of the Costis, by a mine, but explains that the steamer followed a wrong course despite warnings.
