LOYAL ALLIES

ENEMY TRYING TO SOW DIVISIONS.

BUT PAST NOT FORGOTTEN.

(Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) PARIS, September 7.

The Ministry of Information has issued a statement: “British help is greater than in 1914. Germany now has .no fleet as a rival to the British Fleet and communications are assured. Britain’s effort in the air has been prodigious. Her conscription is only six months old, but millions of men are on the way. “The British Dominions realise the need for the deliverance of the world from the tyranny that again is apparent. We remember that the Dominions are industrial nations.

“The enemy is endeavouring to divide Britain and France, but they remember 1914. They were comrades during four years, sharing dangers then and sharing victory. We Frenchmen know by experience that Englishmen abide by their commitments. We have confidence in our Allies as they trust us.” / FAITH IN VICTORY BRITISH PRIME MINISTER’S CONFIDENCE. (Received This Day, 12.35 p.m.) LONDON, September 7. Concluding his statement on the war situation, Mr Chamberlain said: “Those who have taken up arms in such a cause are assured, whatever the sacrifices they may be called on to make, of victory in the end.
