PROHIBITION ON SPORT
RACE MEETINGS ABANDONED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.20 a.m.) LONDON, September 7. Since no indication has been received of a withdrawal of the prohibition on sports gatherings, the'Jockey Club has abandoned six meetings, including the Newmarket meeting on October 2. This means that lhe Cambridgeshire handicap has been cancelled.
