BOWLING

IyiASTERTON CLUB. SEASON TO OPEN IN OCTOBER. At the monthly meeting of the committee of the Masterton Bowling Club it was decided to open the greens on Saturday. October 7. The club is faced with the necessity of purchasing a new mower and on Saturday afternoon at one o'clock an electric mower will be demonstrated on the club’s greens. This demonstration should be of interest io other clubs and sports bodies, and the committee issues a cordial invitation to all interested to attend. The club's greens are looking exceptionally well and should be in excellent order when the season opens. It was announced that the club would hold another bridge evening or the last Monday in September and a social is also to be arranged.
