BOMBS ON DANISH TOWN DROPPED BY BRITISH MACHINE THOUGHT TO HAVE BEEN OVER SEA. EXPRESSION OF PROFOUND REGRET. The following reports issued by the short-wage station at Daventry (England) have been rebroadeast by the New Zealand national stations: — The British Government has expressed its profound regret to Denmark for the bombs dropped on Esbjerg. It is explained that a bomber was partly disabled, and released its bombs in the belief that the machine was over the sea. Five bombs were dropped in Esbjerg.lt was reported yesterday that in addition to two persons killed and ten injured, it was feared that others wore buried under debris. The Germans claim the capture of Cracow, but this the Poles deny. It is asserted that 15 German planes raiding Cracow were brought down, with the loss of six Polish machines:
