ON GERMAN NAVAL PORTS GNEISENAU REPORTED SUNK. .FRENCH RAID ON FRANKFORT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 11.30 a.m.) BASLE, September 6. A radio broadcast heard here said the German pocket battleship Gneisenau was sunk by British raiding planes in the Wilhelmshaven attack. It also said that French planes had raided Frankfort on Main. It is not disclosed whether the broadcast referred to Monday’s Wilhelmshaven raid or to a new one.
