S.M. COURT

SITTING THIS MORNING. A sitting of the Greytown S.M. Court was held this morning, Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., being on the Bench. The Transport Department charged Walter Harold Cundy with having failed to carry a warrant of fitness. He v/as fined £1 and costs 10s; same v. Charles Victor Bargh, charged that when driving a motor cycle he carried another person on a motor vehicle otherwise than in a side-car. He was fined £1 and 12s costs and his licence suspended for two weeks; same v. Eric James McAlpine, charged with having driven a motor-cycle along the Main Street at a speed exceeding 30 miles an hour. He was fined £2 and costs 10s; same v. Rangi Ngairo, charged with having permitted cattle to wander on the main highway, was fined 10s and costs 10s. Gordon Leslie Percy Burt, charged with having failed to remove broken glass from the highway after a collision. was fined £1 and costs 10s. Judgment was given for plaintiff by default in the case of D. Tully versus Robert C. Guilford, claim £lO. costs £1 12s 6d.
