POULTRY MARKETING PRODUCERS’ PROTEST. ("Times-Age” Special.) At a meeting of the Carterton branch of the New Zealand Poultry Producers’ Federation, the following resolution was carried: “That this meeting of the Carterton branch is amazed at the Government delaying to bring into force the long-promised marketing regulations, especially after the assurance given by the Acting-Minister of Marketing, the Hon. Mr. Lee Martin, that they would be gazetted on or before the third week in August.” LATE MR C. C. ROBERTS FUNERAL AT CLAREVILLE. The funeral of the late Mr Charles C. Roberts, who died at the Carter Home, took place at the Clareville Cemetery yesterday afternoon. Thcservice at the graveside was conducted by the Rev W. F. Stent, Vicar of St Mark’s Anglican Church. The pr-1 bearers were Messrs E. McKenzie and C. J. DeLacey (members of the Carter Home committee), Mr T. King (master of the institution), and Mr W. Foster. The secretary of the Home (Mr J. Laurenson) was also present. ’ MINIATURE RIFLES WEEKLY COMPETITIONS. Club badges this week were won by Miss Fisher and Messrs D. Gayfer and G. Goodin. Personal Mr and Mrs E. R. Clapp and family who haye been spending a holiday with Mrs D. J. McDonald, Eketahuna, ' have returned to Carterton. Rivers Flooded. The heavy rain on Monday night was the means of bringing large volumes of water down the rivers with the result that the Maungaterere stream at Dalefield overflowed its banks and flooded the road both at Dalefield and at the southern end of Lincoln Road. Busy Postal Officials. The Carterton Post Office officials were very busy yesterday and today issuing application forms for the purchase of petrol.
