WEDDING

BROOKER—BOUZAID. The wedding took place at the Sacred Heart Church, Greytown, yesterday morning, when Rose Mary, second daughter of Mr and Mrs C. G. Bouzaid, of Grey town, was married to Jack Albert Ernest Brooker, son of Mrs Brooker, of Wanganui, the ceremony beingperformed by the Rev Father Devlin. The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in an ivory needlerun lace frock, cut on Premiere lines, with full shirred sleeves, a Crewe neckline, and a fluted skirt. The bridal veil was of tulle, with a halo of orange blossoms and buds, which formed a long train. She carried a handsome bouquet consisting of a sheaf of Lily of the Valley, spider dahlias, St Joseph lilies and maiden-hair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss Joan Bouzaid (sister of the bride) and Miss* Jean Craig (niece of the bride). They were attired in period frocks of Dolly Varden type, with blue frilled taffeta petticoats, over which was worn Margaret Rose taffeta. The skirts were scalloped and caught Tvith tiny pink forget-me-nots. The fichu neckline was caught with a bunch of forget-me-nots, with frilled sleeves. They wore tiny Dolly Varden hats of delphinium blue taffeta, tied under the chin with black velvet ribbon bows. Blue shirred muffs, trimmed with forget-me-nots, and black velvetybows, completed the toilet. Mr Reginal Faulknor, of Wanganui, acted as best man, and Mrs Frederick Bouzaid, of Wellington, as groomsman A reception was afterwards held at the Crown Theatre, where the usual toasts were honoured. The bride travelled in a model spung suit of moss green Harris tweed. Her hat was a London tan French beret, with handbag, shoes and gloves to match. She also carried a London tan fur stole to complete the ensemble.
