Australia won the Davis Cup today for the first time since the Great War when in 1914 Wilding (New Zealand) and Brookes (Australia) playing as Australasia, defeated U.S.A-, it being also a war year. Quist (Australia) beat Riggs (U.S.A.), 6/1, 6/4, 3/6, 3/6, 6/4, in a Davis Cup singles match. In the final singles game Bromwich (Australia beat Parker (U.S.A.), 6/0, 6/3, 6/1.
