OFFERS OF HELP

WOMEN’S DIVISION AND OTHERS. MAYOR’S ACKNOWLEDGMENT. Furthei’ offers of assistance have been received from several sources by the Mayor of Masterton, Mr T. Jordan. Mrs K. Groves, president of the Masterton branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, communicated with Mr Jordan on Saturday offering the services of the Division in any capacity in which its members Avere fitted to act. A list of members who are prepared to render national service has been supplied to Mr Jordan. The capacity in which members are able to act is indicated in each case, these including the Red Cross, Nurses’ Association, car driving, refugee children and any capacity. Mr Jordan has also received many offers of help from individuals. Mr Jordan has acknoAvledged the offers of assistance Avith thanks and appreciation.
