CHURCH SERVICES

The Holy Communion will be celebrated at St Matthew’s Church tomorrow at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. The Vicar will be the preacher both morning and evening. The usual services will be held at Taueru. and Kuripuni. The Rev John Davie will be the preacher at the Knox Church services on Sunday morning and evening and also at Matahiwi at 2.30 p.m. The services in the Methodist Church tomorrow will be by the Rev Frederick J. Parker. Following a shortened morning service, the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper will be administered. At the evening service the subject will be, “The Clash of Nations,” a study in the catastrophe of today. At the Kuripuni -Methodist Church tomorrow the morning service will be conducted by Mr E. Steer, and at 6.50 p.m. cars leave for the town church. The Methodist Church service at Wangaehu at 2.30 p.m. tomorrow will be conducted by the Rev Fred J. Parker. The meeting of the Baptist. Fellowship to be held in the Y.M.C.A. Hall tomorrow morning will be conducted by the Rev D. B. Forde-Carlisle of the Berhampore church. Mr Carlisle is an experienced minister whose message is instructive and helpful. He has a son also in the Baptist Ministry at Feilding and a service at Masterton recently was conducted by him. Sunday School will be held at 10 a.m. Children not at- ■ tending other Sunday schools will be made welcome. The services at the Salvation Army tomorrow will be conducted by Major and Mrs Mahaffie. Mrs Mahaffie will be the speaker in the morning service. The Major will take for his subject in the evening service “Facing The World Situation.” This will be a timely message for the present. Major Hayes, well known as “Digger” Hayes, who was announced to conduct the special series of services this Sunday, will not be able to do so now. owing to unforseen circumstances. All arc heartily invited, to the Army's services.
