Ottawa. —Canadian cedar is being used extensively in the construction of camps throughout Great Britain for use in peacetime as schools and in wartime as refugee shelters. Announcement has been made that between 30 tnd 40 of those camps are planned. They are to be built in standardised units. “All buildings are of Canadian -•edar with cedar shingle roofs.” the Hon. Walter Elliot, British Minister of Health is quoted in cables as having recently told the House of Commons. Toronto. — A Clydesdale-Percheron filly, born on a farm near here, has been adopted by a cow after having been spurned by its own mother. The filly and its foster mother are becoming much attached to each other.
