TYRONE POWER

SINGS FOR FIRST TIME. Tyrone Power sings for the first time on the screen in “Rose of Washington Square," the 20th Century-Fox picture. As tests proved that his voice provided a perfect complement to that of his costar, Alice Faye, it was decided to have the pair render some duets in the course of the story, which covers two decades of song hits. The numbers sung by the duo are "Rose of Washington Square” and “The Curse of an Aching Heart,” also “The Vamp." Al Jolson is also starred in the film and sings many of the hits he made famous.
