Tiie annual meeting of the Board of the T. G. Macarthy Trust was held today. The distribution of £12.500 was approved and the allocations include £640 to the Homo of Compassion at Island Bay; £650 to St. Joseph’s Orphanage. Upper Hutt; £425 to St. Mary's Guild. Wellington; £445 to the Wellington City Mission; £4OO to the Wellington Free Kindergarten Association; £450 to the Mayor’s Metropolitan Relief Committee; £4OO to the National Art Gallery and Dominion Museum, and £ 100 to the New Zealand Academy of Fino Arts; £4OO io the St. Vincent de Pau! Society and a similar amount to the Salvation Army Men’s Shelter £320 to the Boys' Institute. Various Plunket societies of the province receive grants, the Sargent Gallery. Wanganui, gets £BO and the St. Thomas’s Boys’ School, Nainai. £340.
