WAITING ATTITUDE ON PACT WITH GERMANY. I PENDING DEVELOPMENTS IN SITUATION. (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) LONDON, Allgust 28. The Moscow correspondent of the British United Press says that at a joint meeting of the Supreme Council of the Soviet Union Council of Nationalities tonight, it was revealed that neither the RussianGeaman Non-Aggression Pact, nor the military service law would be discussed'pending developments in the European situation. LEISURELY PACE o PACT MAY NOT BE REACHED FOR DAYS. (Received This Oay, 10.20 a.m.) . LONDON, August 28. The Exchange Agency's Moscow correspondent says the Lower House, at a meeting this afterrfoon, agreed only on the order of the agenda for Parliament tonight. The House- put agricultural taxation first, universal military service second and the German-Soviet Pact third. The pact may not be reach-, ed until Thursday or Friday. ADMIRALTY ORDERS USE OF RADIO AND LIGHTS. RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON. August 28. An Admiralty order forbids ships to use radio transmitters, regardless of their nationality, in the tidal waters of Britain and Northern Ireland. The Admiralty has also ordered the darkening of all ships in harbours where air raid precautions are in force. The visibility of navigation lights is limited to two miles, and they are permitted to bo exhibited only when there is danger of collision. NOT MUCH PREPARATION SEEN BY JEAN BATTEN. IN FLIGHT ACROSS GERMANY. (Received This Day. 9.55 a.m.) LONDON. August 28. Miss Jean Batten, who was among Ilie last civilian flyers to cross Germany before private planes were banned, said she was courteously treated J when she landed at Hamburg, and did j not see much war preparation.
