REPORTED EXCHANGE OF SHOTS. STORM TROOPERS AND CITIZENS AT ODDS. (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) WARSAW, August 28. The Opposition newspaper "Weiczor Warszawski” publishes a circumstantial report from Danzig that 20 Storm Troopers, appealing from a lorry to the people to keep calm, were fired on by German citizens, and that three persons were killed in an exchange of shots. Another report says young Brown Shirts distributed circulars reading: "Gormans, historic events will occur tomorrow. Keep calm with a firm spirit.” adding that the events would not only bo at Danzig but elsewhere, with Italy simultaneously moving against Yugoslavia. BUSINESS DWINDLES ON LONDON STOCK EXCHANGE. (Received This Dav, 9.25 a.m.) LONDON. August 28. Business in the Stock Exchange dwindled further on the ban on dealings in foreign stocks. LINER EUROPA CALL AT SOUTHAMPTON OMITTED. (Received This Day. 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, August 28. The German liner Europa, carrying forty Britons and Americans, went on to Bremen, not calling at Southampton where forty Germans waited vainly. DOMINIONS INFORMED TERMS OF BRITISH REPLY TO HITLER. (Received This Day. 9.55 a.m.) LONDON. August 28. Sir Thomas Inskip has informed the Dominion High Commissioners of the trend of Britain's reply to Herr Hitler.
