MISSING MEN

RETURN TO OTAKI. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) OTAKI, August 28. Fears for the safety of three meh who left Otaki yesterday to search for a missing man in the Tararua Ranges were set at rest when the men were found by a search party early this morning. The men, Messrs Arthur Wootton. Don Cudby and Leo Cudby left Otaki to look for Mr Arthur Wootton. Junr., who was expected to return from- an expedition in the ranges on Saturday. Me returned safely yesterday, however, without meeting the party. The three men were overtaken by night and built a lire and sheltered under a rata tree. Early this morning Messrs E. P. Wootton and D. Thomas set out to search for them, entering the ranges at Baxter’s old mill. They fired two shots to attract attention, and received a reply from about four miles away from the missing men, who returned to Otaki later in the day.
