On Account of Tense Situation HITLER RECEIVES BRITISH AND FRENCH AMBASSADORS ALSO ITALIAN AND JAPANESE REPRESENTATIVES (By Telegraph.—Press Association.—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 11.55 p.m.) BERLIN, August 25. An official announcement states that .the Tannenberg celebrations have been cancelled. The German official news agency announced that: “By reason ot the tense situation, the solemn ceremony arranged at Tannenberg will not take place.” It is confirmed that Herr Hitler received Sir X. Henderson (British Ambassador), together with the French Ambassador, in the presence of Herr von Ribbentrop (Foreign Minister,). He also received the Italian and Japanese Ambassadors.
