"It seems that additional interest in blade shearing is being taken by colleges in the South Island this year." said Mr W. 11. Nicholson when the general committee of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association was considering an application for a grant to the Christchurch Technical College. Because of the increased demand for youths for industries the shearing classes in Christchurch, had been smaller last year than in the previous year. Mr Nichol- n said. The committee decided m malm the usual grant of £lO to the c. 11 ego.
