COURSING

MEETING AT AKURA TOMORROW. DRAW FOR FINAL EVENTS. Tomorrow afternoon the Wairarapa Coursing Club’s final meeting of the season will bring to a conclusion one of the most successful year’s coursing in the history of the club. The Maiden stake has drawn a good field of 12 dogs. Two new nominations from Dannevirke will be seen out in Wings of the Morning and Slips Pride, while a particularly well bred dog in Rexminda of Wellington, an imported dog from Australia will also have his first run at Akura. The Open Stake has drawn a select field of good greyhounds. Desert Storm, White Gold, Black Rufus, White Lie, Great Worry and some of the best. The Waterloo Cup winners of the three seasons. 1937, 1938 and 1939 will also parade. The draw is as follows: Maiden Stake:—Mr R. N. Shaw’s (Masterton) Nigger Minstrel, meets Messrs McGrath and Cooke's (Well - , ington), Cardsharper. Mr F. Butch-' er’s (Masterton) Attarere meets Mr J. Hares (Masterton). The Trump. Mr .1. Crawford’s (Carterton), Jeanne, meets Mr M. Whitty's (Wellington) Rexminda. Mr W. Williams’s (Masterton) Orui Girl meets Mr J. Bassett (Dannevirke) Wings of the Morning. Mr S. Gerrand's (Masterton). Wakeful, meets Mr L. Wells’s (Dannevirke), Black Rufus. Mr W. L. Buick's Great Worry, N.S. meets Mr W. L. Jenson's (Carterton), White Lie.
