Herr Hitler returned suddenly by air to Berlin and drove to the Chancellery in an open touring car. He appeared sad, looking neither to the right nor the left, with lips compressed and did not even acknowledge feeble "Heils!” from some two hundred persons gathered outside the Chancellery. Herr von Ribbentrop has arrived and meets Herr Hitler immediately.
