POLISH ALLEGATION

DIPLOMATIC BAG SEIZED BY NAZIS. (Independent Cable Service.) LONDON, August 24. The Berlin correspondent of the "Daily Express” says Polish diplomats allege that the German police detained a Polish diplomatic bag yesterday and confiscated a parcel. They claim that a Polish courier en route to Poland was arrested at Rawicz on the frontier, and that neither the courier nor the bag has been released. The Warsaw correspondent of “The Times” says that the Polish version of the incident in which the Poles were accused by the German news agency of firing on German air liners is that warning shots were fired at German bombers. RUSSIAN VERSION EFFECT OF ARTICLE FOUR. LONDON, August 24. Officials are most reserved regarding the pact, but it is commonly complained that Japan has been sold out, The “Shimbun Ashahi” predicts that the pact will be short-lived and will be used by Germany merely to assist, to solve the Danzig issue. An official spokesman asserted that the anti-Comintern pact is not affected. TURKEY LOYAL WILL ADHERE TO TREATIES. LONDON, August 24. A message from Istanbul states that official quarters say Turkey will adhere to her agreements with Britain and France.
