HARRIER ACTIVITIES
KIATERE CLUB. REWANUI CUP RACE. Owing to unavoidable circumstances the run which was to have been hole from the residence of Mr W. G. Laing on Saturday next has now been cancelled and the club will hold the race for the Rewanui Cup from its headquarters at the Showgrounds. The event will be run as an open handicap over a two lap 6.| mile trail, and in addition to such a coveted trophy for the winner, the second man home will receive the Bell Cup. a handsome trophy donated by Mr and Mrs G. Bell of Kaituna. The following handicaps have been declared:—R. Greeks, scr.; W. Burgess, scr.: W. MacDonald. 25secs.: W. Burns. J. Laing, lmin.; A. MacDonald, 2mins.; L. Frances, A. Addison, H. Stewart, 3 mins. 15secs.; R. Searancke, 4mins. 30 secs.; D. Nielson, smins. Junior members will take part in a 3 1-8 mile open handicap with trophies for first and second. The following arc the junior handicaps:—H. Doyle, scr.: N. Jacobsen. ssecs.; F. Sexton. C. Stewart. lmin. asecs.; C. Summers, 2.15; S. Pickett. 2.40: N. Dickel. 3.40; J. Hodgett, 4.15; G. Laing, 4.20.
