VICTIM IN HOSPITAL
ARMED ROBBERY CHARGE IN HASTINGS. FURTHER REMAND NECESSARY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) HASTINGS. August 23. The police hoped to be able to proceed with the prosecution tomorrow in the case in which Horace Timothy O - Connor, aged 17. and John McDonald, aged 21. are charged with assault and armed robbery, arising from an armed hold-up staged at Wilson’s petrol station. Karamu Road. Hastings, on the night of August 15. A further remand will now have to be sought. The principal witness. Albert Arthur Wilson, who was injured in a struggle, had a relapse during the weekend which necessitated his removal to Napier Public Hospital on Monday. The hospital authorities stated tonight that Mr Wilson's condition was improving but il would be several days vet before he would be able to leave the hospital. ________
