Among the guests at the Prince of. Wales Hotel, Masterton is Mr Blinkhornc, of Wellington. Mi' F. Robieson, who has spent some years in England has returned to New Zealand, and it as present staying at the Midland Hotel. He was a resident of Masterton many years ago. The Board of Governors of Wairarapa College has selected as Art Master. Mr S. B. Maclennan, A.R.C.A.. N.R.D.. of London. Mr Maclennan will commence duly towards the end of October. Mr L. T. K. Allison, financial secretary of the Young Men's Christian Association for a number of years, has been appointed organising secretary of the Archbishop Julius Memorial Fund Appeal. The Rev. W. E. D. Davies, who held this position, resigned recently. Guests at the Hotel Midland. Masterton, include Messrs J. Howell, B. Hollier (Hastings). G. McCcrkindale. J. Miller. 11. Holland. G. Cameron. D. Johnston (Wellington). A. R. Johnston. H. Blandshaw. N. Dew. S. H. Head (Auckland): J. Hazelwood (Upper Hutt); and C. Morgan (Gisborne). There was a very large and representative attendance at the funeral of the late Mrs T. A. 11. Dixon, which took place at Masterton yesterday afternoon. The number of wreaths forwarded was evidence of the high esteem in which deceased was held by a wide circle of friends. Impressive ceremonies wore conducted by the Rev E. J. Rich at the house and at the graveside.
