SECONDARY SCHOOLS TOURNEY. WAIRARAPA DEFEATED. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WANGANUI, August 21. The New Zealand secondary schools' championship hockey tournament began today in fine but overcast weather. A high standard of play was shown. Results: — Stratford Technical High School beat Mt. Albert Grammar School, 3/2. Auckland Grammar School beat Gisborne High School, 8/2. Wanganui Technical College beat Palmerston North High School, 6/3. Wellington College beat Wairarapa College, 1/0. Mt. Albert Grammar School beat Gisborne High School, 7/1. Auckland Grammar School beat Stratford Technical High School, 2/1.
