STATEMENT BY HUNGARIAN FOREIGN MINISTER.

Count Csaky, Hungarian Foreign Minister, declared that an independent and strong Hungary is essential to the political balance of Europe. He emphasised that neither in Germany noi’ Italy was anything demanded from her.

LONDON, August 21. The “News Chronicle” and “Daily Herald,” in leaders, urge the recall of Parliament. JURISTS IN DANZIG GERMANY’S LATEST MASS ATTACK. (Received This Dav, 1.5 p.m.) DANZIG, August 21. Two hundred and fifty German jurists arrived with the Reich Minister Frank and the Statthalter, Dr Seyss Inquart, in order to hold meetings to emphasise why Danzig should legally return to Germany.
