ACTIVITIES IN BRITAIN. ' i (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, August 20. Since its inception up to March last, the National Fitness Council has made 789 offers or grants, amounting in all to £1 468,302, for schemes and projects such as playing fields, swimming baths, and social recreative centres, affecting 598 towns and villages in England and Wales.
