* CARTERTON CLUB MEETING. ADDRESS TO BE GIVEN BY MR LEVY. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Carterton Young Farmers' Club was held in 'XSrmrrfev. in the P. &A. Rooms last Tuesday. Fisher, presided 'VSjMjjL’jliover an attendance of 22 m ft rn was S decided to enter a team in the Young Farmers’ Club seven-a-side football tournament, to be held at Palmerston North on Wednesday, August 23. Mr A. Deller was left in charge of the arrangements. Arrangements were made for Mr E. Bruce Levy to lecture at the next meeting. to be held in the P. and A. rooms on September 11. The subject of MiLevy's address will be the development and management of pastures on the poorer soil types. All farmers interested are invited to be present. Mr B. Wakelin was present by invitation and gave an interesting and enlightening address on ■■Defence." His address was well received by the meeting. After answering several questions Mr Wakelin was accorded a hearty Vote ul thanks.
