Halifax. —Tuna fishing, as a sport, dates back to 1871 and all record catches, both by sportsmen and commercial fishermen, in the past thirty years have, with but one exception, bcc'n made off the shores of southern Nova Scotia, in Eastern Canada. In 1937, more than 500 of the monster game fish were taken by rod and reel by ardent sportsmen coming from all over the world.
