BLIND LEADING BLIND
MAN FINED FOR INTOXICATION IN CHARGE OF CAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. "I! looks like a case of the blind leading the blind.” said Sub-Inspector O'Neill in Court today, when William David Aingc, a labourer, aged 24. was being prosecuted for intoxication while in charge of a car. The sub-inspector said that after Aingc had been taken in charge the owner of the car, who was also in an advanced stage of intoxication. called at the Police Station and said he gave the keys to accused as he thought he was himself too drunk to drive. It appeared that Aingo was found seated in the driver’s seat and had the ignition switched on. "He told a constable he was waiting for the other man to come along. Mr J. L. Stout. S.M.. imposed a fine of .£l5 with a year's cancellation of licence.
