NORTH ISLAND CHAMPIONSHIPS. WIN FOR MASTERTON OWNER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Record entries were received for the opening of the North Island championship field and water trials at the Lower Hutt today, 37 dogs competing, which is a record for the North Island and possibly for New Zealand. Results:— Puppy field trial: F. Eales. 74 points, 1; J. W. Curtin. 73 points. 2; G. C. Mayo 62 points. 3. ; Limit field trial: M. A. Rawlins (Masterton). 87 points 1; L. A. Marker 76 points 2; E. hall 73 points, 3.
