OIL FUEL RESERVES
BIGGER STOCKS TO BE HELD IN AUSTRALIA. COMPANIES TO INCREASE STORAGE. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright SYDNEY, August 18. The Minister for Supply and Development (Mr R. G. Casey) announced that to ensure an adequate reserve supply of motor fuel in an emergency, the major oil companies had undertaken to increase substantially their storages of petrol and oil in Australia within a very short period, and to hold the additional stocks at their own cost.
