WELLINGTON SALE. PRICES SLIGHTLY EASIER. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Competition was less active and prices were easier at the sale of sheepskins and hides held yesterday by the Wellington brokers. Sheepskins: The best grades were slightly easier and sold at prices which were par to ;jd a lb lower than our previous sales quotations. Damaged and seedy lots were in demand and were inclined to'sell in sellers’ favour. Hides: All grades and descriptions were slightly easier, ox and cow being lower by l-8d to :',d a lb, kip by ,|d. yearling and calf by ,‘,d to Jd. Tallow: No sales to report. The following is the range of prices: Dry sheepskins: Halfbred, 7:,'d to 9A; fine crossbred. B:,’d to 9Ad; medium crossbred, 8d to 9Ad; coarse, crossbred, B,jd to 9jd; half-wools. 6Ad to Bj'd; quarter-wools. 5Ad to 7 : jd; pelts. 3d to 4d. Salted skins: Quarter-wools, 2s 4d; three-quarter-wools, 2s 3d to 3s 9d.
