For more than a week, three pianos have been searching the coastal, waters near Townsville because of reports that strange craft resembling submarines have been seen there. The Minister of Defence. Mr G. A. Street, said in Melbourne that the investigations appeared to have proved the reports to be groundless. A number of people on different parts of the coast reported having seen a submarine showing lights.
