FAREWELL EVENING

MR AND MRS W. FOX. (“Times-Age” Special.) A most enjoyable time was spent on a recent evening when, on the last night of their residence in Eketahuna, Mr and Mrs W. Fox were “surprised” by about twenty friends at the home of Mr and Mrs D. Fraser. The guests contributed a delightful programme of instrumental, vocal and piping items and supper was enjoyed. A presentation of a piece of crystal was made to Mrs Fox to remind her of her old friends in her new home.

Owing to the news of the departure of Mrs Fox being rather sudden, the ladies with whom she was associated in the Presbyterian Church were unable to tender her a social farewell evening. A memento has been forwarded in the shape of a filled manicure compact in a soft leather case.
