B GRADE INTER-CLU3 COMPETITION. RED STAR WIN FINAL. The final of the Wairarapa Badminton Associations B grade Inter-club competition played last night resulted in a meritorious win for Red Star, whe defeated Nomads by the margin of 8 matches to 4. The issue was never in doubt, and Red Star arc to be congratulated on the fine teamwork displayed. Strengthened by such redoubtables as F. Roll'. G. B. Peterson, Misses H. Brown. W. Holtham and V. Watson. Stars have played consistently throughout the competition. Details of the match are as follow—Nomads’ players being mentioned first in every instance; Men’s doubles: Messrs B. M. Hurley and W. Jones lost to G. B. Peterson and F. Roff, 12/21; P. Cardno and W. Stilburn lost to Harrington and G. Lambourne 14/21; Hurley and Jones beat Harrington and Lambourne 21/10; Cardno and Stilburn lost to Peterson and Roff, 10/21. Ladies’ doubles: Miss K. Wickens and Mrs 11. Dixon beat Misses H. Brown and V. Watson 15/12; Misses Andrews and Patrick lost to Misses U. Holtham and Harrington 3/15; Miss Wickens and Mrs 11. Dixon beat Misses Holtham and Harrington 15/13;. Miss Andrews and Patrick lost to Misses Brown and Watson 9/15. Combined doubles: W. Jones and Miss Wickens beat F. Roff and Miss
