TABLE TENNIS
WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. CHAMPIONSHIP & OTHER CONTESTS. The Wairarapa Table Tennis Asso ciation held its second general meet ing in the Municipal Buildings on Wed nesday night, Mr Bliss presiding.
It was decided that the association should run an open Wairarapa championship during the season and also to have the usual championships for players of the Wairarapa Association only.
A motion was carried that the Wairarapa club championships be run in two sections, senior and junior, and that they be played not later than September 16.
The date of the open championships was left in abeyance to be- decided by the association committee.
The association would also like to notify clubs lhat the rooms in Dixor Street would now be available for in-ter-club competition on Tuesday evenings as well as Mondays. The secretary. Mr W. Day, reported that he had received entry forms fol the Manawatu open championships and any players desirous of entering conic obtain forms from him. Mention was also made of the fine work done for the association by Mr W. Day and Mr M. Winsladp.
