FEATHERSTON
YOUNG FARMERS SUCCESSFUL DANCE. (“Times-Age" Special.) A most successful dance arranged by the Young Farmers' Club was held in the Anzac Hall on . Monday night. Among the many who attended were visitors from surrounding districts. A word of praise is due to the secretary and the ladies’ committee, who were largely responsible for the success of the evening. Mr Chas. Buck acted as M.C. and the music was supplied by Udy’s Orchestra, extras being played by Mr J. Buck. The two Monte Carlo competitions were won by Mr and Mrs B. Donald and by Mr and Mrs Phelps (Martinborough). The lucky spot was won by Mr Jensen and Miss Fraser. The cake which was donated by Mrs Cole and iced by Miss Eileen Cole was won by Miss Nancy Cade. Pahiatua. The effective decorating of the stage and supper tables was the work ol the Misses Tutbury. The supper was donated and the arrangements were managed by a committee of ladies. Personal. Mr Dowling. Kahutara. is leaving the district at the end of the month to take up his residence in Lower Hutt.
